The mission of the Yachats Academy of Arts & Sciences is to provide educational and entertainment opportunities for people on the central Oregon coast. Sponsored by Polly Plumb Productions, we encourage the residents of the village of Yachats, Oregon to work with Academy board members to organize those events that they judge to be most enjoyable.
Native Bee Conservation: Starting in Your Own Backyard

The United States is home to a staggering number of native bee species, over 4000. In the Pacific Northwest we have sixteen species of bumble bees alone.
Leland will share her insights about how to start in your own back yard. Topics will include plant selection, habitat creation, how to provide safe water and getting involved on a larger scale.
